the college girls guide to: keeping track of assignments
Finals are quickly approaching and that means assignments and tests are piling up. It can be hard to keep track of due dates and extra curricular's, so today we’re going to talk about how to stay on top of your assignments.
🧡 First things first, have a planner!!!
I can’t stress this enough, get a planner and write all of your due dates and test dates in it asap.
I like getting planners that have a weekly layout as well as a monthly one, so I can plan my weeks and know exactly what assignments I need to do.
The planner I’m currently using is a Day Designer weekly planner.
I’ve used a few others but I like that this one has a weekly layout so I can write specifics for each day.
🩷 Make to-do lists!
Every Sunday I go through my calendar and my list of assignments, and I write out everything I need to do that week and any small things I need to do for those assignments.
This helps me grasp exactly what needs to be done and it gives me an idea of what I need to put my focus on and finish first.
🧡 Have a list of all of your assignments!
I have an excel spreadsheet with every due date, what class it’s for and what time I need to turn it in by.
I even have it color coded, so every class has its own color.
When I finish an assignment, I cross it off the list.
I got this idea from TikTok, and I’ve been doing it since freshman year, and I rarely ever miss an assignment.
Here’s the video I got the idea from: Lauren Loveless
Moral of the story is write your due dates down EVERYWHERE. The more you see them the more you’ll remember to do them. Obviously sometimes things slip through the cracks, and you miss a due date or two, but if you follow these steps, you’ll be pretty much set for success!
Till next time,
