 The end of the semester is quickly approaching, and that means finals. 

Today I’m going to give you some tips and tricks on how to study effectively so you can ace those finals! 


🩷 Rewrite your notes! 


I always like to write out my notes, or rewrite them, that way I can review the information while actively thinking about what it says.  


I like to take my time and make them look neat that way I want to look at them. 


If you don’t have the time to rewrite all of your notes, just do the key points that you need to know. 


🧡 Make flashcards! 


Whether you make them on Quizlet or write them out, making flashcards is super helpful. 


They can help you quiz yourself on the information, plus you are less likely to just glance over the words without thinking about what it says. 


🩷 Start sooner rather than later! 


You can’t wait until the night before an exam to study and think you’ll be fine. 


I like to try to start a week early and go over a little bit of information each day. 


Then closer to the test date I’ll go over the information as a whole. 


This keeps me from getting overwhelmed with the amount of information there is. 


🧡 Don’t over study! 


This can be hard to gauge, but studying too much is just as bad as not studying at all. 


You eventually reach a point where you aren’t comprehending the information, and then you’re just wasting time. 


This often happens when you wait until the last day to study, and then you have to cram all day. 


🩷 Put your phone on DND! 


I always end up getting distracted by my phone, so I have to put it on do not disturb. 


Sometimes I’ll even put my phone on the other side of the room if I’m getting really distracted. 


🧡 Remember to take breaks! 


Don’t force yourself to study for hours on end without a break. 


Take 5-10 minutes and scroll on Insta or watch some TV, go on a walk, just do anything that isn’t studying. 


🩷 Reward yourself! 


I’ve talked about this in a past blog post but reward yourself for the tiny victories. 


If you get your grade back and you did really well, go get some ice cream! 


🧡 Find study motivation! 


Go to Pinterest and find motivation.

Just looking at other people being productive makes me want to be productive too. 

 

There are so many other tips I could give, but this is just a glimpse into some of my favorite study tips!

Finals are right around the corner, and they can bring a lot of unnecessary stress to the end of the yar, so today we’re gonna talk about how to reduce stress during finals week!   🩷 PLAN OUT YOUR WEEK!   You can’t have a stress-free finals wee k if y ou’re worried about last minute due dates and exam dates.   Write out the days of all of your assignments, projects and exams along with anything you need to complete them.   🧡 SCHEDULE YOUR STUDY TIME!   If you’re anything like me, you only study when you’re motivated. And during finals week, the motivation is nonexistent, so blocking out times when you HAVE to study is a must !   They don’t have to be huge chunks of time but give yourself enough time to accomplish everything on your to-do list.   🩷 GIVE YOURSELF STUDY BREAKS!   You can’t study for hours on end and expect to retain all of the information.
